Day 973 | Let’s be Frank

Last Friday I met up with a great mate of mine for our regular catch up and debrief. Usually I’d prefer to just have a beer in the office but it seems like now I’ve found a much better alternative.

Since opening it’s doors I’ve been to Frankie Js at Providore Place a handful of times and the vibe is exactly what Devonport has been chasing for years. With all the controversy surrounding the living city project, I’ve still always been a fan of the new facilities but it was when these guys came in with a vision to create a different feel to the norm that I really started to appreciate what we now have so close to home.

A while ago when living in Hobart for a couple of years I remember the same type of feel down at Salamanca. Good music, great food and the ability to still have a conversation with your favourite people. The place you can take the family for a pizza or meet the crew for a good session.

And with the promise of continued live music, cool events and some genuine outside the box thinking, I reckon this place is just what the doctor ordered.
