Day 850 | Nouk

Day 850 | Nouk

The photo on the right is the Annouka we all know. The corporate attire, the beaming smile, the kick-ass attitude. The photo on the left is one that not many people would associate with our little mate but that one was in 2015, just after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Imagine for a second being diagnosed with MS, let alone that happening when you are in the prime of your youth. At 27 this was a bitter pill to swallow but the bravery and positivity she has shown from then to now has been nothing short of phenomenal.

As of this Saturday there’s a group of us that will be participating in the May 50k, a charity event held by the MS Foundation. Sharyn, Kelly, Simone and I will not be doing 50km each but instead as a team will be striving for a goal of 500kms.

With all that she’s been through, and continues to go through, it’s something so small that we can do to try and raise some money and help push research forward to get closer to a cure.

So we will run, ride, struggle and gasp for breath (due to some very questionable fitness levels) to clock up kms and show Nouk that we have her back. Always.

Please donate what you can with the link below. And if you see me out and about smashing the pavement please get me an inhaler and some water. I’ll need it.
