Day 632 | What a Transformation

Years ago, well before we had Hudson, Simone and I would go to weekend auctions and hunt for furniture. Antique pieces or really cool custom stuff that was unique. We then discovered a second hand shop in Ulverstone that had random bits and pieces in this big old building. I reckon we went there 25 times and bought a few really nice things. We would always walk away from the building and talk about how much potential it had, and how stunning it would be without all the ‘stuff’ that was floor to ceiling blocking all the structure and character.

Bring it forward to now and this building has not only been lovingly restored but it’s the kind of place that genuinely takes your breath away when you walk through the front door. Ellis House Gallery had its opening day today and the result is just amazing. Delecia and Bruce have created a beautiful space that has a retail section on the ground floor and a yoga studio upstairs. From beauty products to giftware, clothing to candles... it’s a den of awesomeness.
