Day 730 | It’s My Birthday feat. TacoMan

Today was my 39th birthday. Not a milestone or anything worth a huge celebration really but I’ve had a dead-set magical day.

I’ve discovered as I get older that birthdays are important to make sure you check in on your happiness levels. It’s like an annual reminder that you need to live for what makes you tick and not to get lost in the small stuff.

Just spending the day with Simone and Hudson having a walk in Stanley, eating a pub meal and stopping for a play at the park followed by my favourite dinner with the whole family makes for a bloody amazing day. Especially when my cake gets presented to me by TacoMan (a combination of my favourite food and my favourite human). No bells or whistles, just loads of smiles and laughs. Simple and exactly what the doctor ordered.

But let me say this... next year for 40 I’m thinking skydiving, Vegas, and tigers in bathrooms. We are going to send it.
