Day 1437 | The hands of time

And just like that, here we are at almost Christmas. As I get older I realise that the years do pass by much faster than I remember and even more so when you have a mini human that just won’t stop growing.

One thing that I’m genuinely proud of as a parent is the fact that Hudson is unbelievably polite even as he gains more years under his belt. His manners are next level and the way he respects what we do for him is brilliant. A real grateful little man to have 2 people that try their best as parents.

There are 6 years between these 2 photos and there’s a subtle things about both that made me feel he really gets it. It’s not the matchy matchy outfits or the fact that the photo is in exactly the same street. Its the hand hold. Even now as I see other kids the same age walking 5metres ahead of their parents, this guy wants to be right next to us and if not holding mums hand, he grabs my arm and puts it around his shoulders.

We can’t take these times for granted. I’m sure it’s not long until he might want to walk alone or refuse to snuggle up to me on the couch to watch NBA but I’ll tell you something, I’m going to really enjoy it while it’s here.
