Day 535 | Fort Club
Day 535 | Fort Club
The first rule of Fort Club is you do not talk about Fort Club.
Over the last few months we’ve been making more Forts around the house than ever before. And it has brought back memories from my childhood.
I remember my mum making forts for me out of an old fold-out card table and dining chairs. Blankets and sheets would cover it all and we would take things in to decorate it out. Action figures, toy cars, teddy bears, whatever we wanted. It was awesome. Real genuine fun.
That’s why now, we make forts all the time. Mostly they are just blankets over chairs but sometimes they take over the house (like this one). And in the forts we play board games, set up superhero battles and read books by torchlight. Makes you realise that all the iPads, new improved game consoles and fancy flash toys in the world can’t match it with some blankets and randomly placed chairs. Pretty cool really.
So this weekend while it rains outside, we will be making a fort... again. I hope you all do the same.
