Day 365 | Pigs... and Mud

We made it. Day 365 for Hudson365. What a wild and crazy ride this 12months has been. For the second time in 4 years I’ve had to start an agency from scratch and trust that I know what I’m doing.

Have we made some mistakes over the year? Absolutely. Have we missed out on some business because it didn’t suit our approach? Yep. But did we still manage to sell enough real estate to make a living and do some good around the place? Sure did.

My favourite quote of the year came from someone I really respect. It comes after a few occasions where I felt like I needed to stand up to the fact that we were different and getting some grief. He took me out for dinner and told me that I should be proud of the left-field model and to not fight or hit back against any of the criticism coming my way because:

“You know what happens when you go down into mud with a pig? The pig gets happy and you get dirty.”

Seems spot on right?

With that said, year 2 is upon us and things are just warming up. Bring on Day 366.

I hope that 2020 is your best year ever, take those chances and chase happiness at all costs.
